My main man Alberto Rigau of Estudio Interlinea recently worked on a project involving a fashion show, thousands of post-it notes, and a ton of patience. Check out the video, then check out the rest of his incredible projects on his blog.

Diamond Signs
October 13th, 2009Jay-Z has always been one of my favorite artists – but the man has done far more than music. In this commercial for Rhapsody, Jay-Z stars in a commercial that recreates his many album covers – a concept that could only work with perfect execution. Needless to say, the commercial is a smash and I’m a huge fan.
Additionally, I also picked up Jay’s latest album, The Blueprint 3. The album surprised me, in a good way. There are plenty of solid tracks and his collaborations with Rhianna, Alicia Keys, Young Jeezy and others hit the mark. Take a listen!
A Long Time Comin’
October 12th, 2009After far too long, I’ve converted JRHcreative to WordPress. From an aesthetic standpoint, the site won’t change much. However, the big difference is in the comments. Viewers can now comment on posts and projects without fear of crazy spamming.
I’m very excited to roll out JRHcreative, the WordPress version… now start commenting!
Goin’ Green
September 24th, 2009I just came across this poster concept I did for an environmentally-driven event at Harvard University months ago. Check it out!
New Flix!
August 25th, 2009I can’t wait to see this documentary… even if I’ll be the only one in the theater.
A Designer’s Dream Skateboard
June 14th, 2009
I’ll admit it – I’m not a skateboarder. I may have tried it a few times in my youth on a horribly ugly Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles skateboard, but I’d tear my Achilles if I hopped on a board today.
However, if I decided to take up the sport again, there’s no doubt that I would start with this elegantly designed board that is a typographer’s dream. The info comes from Aisle One, one of my favorite design blogs.
Expression of Joy
May 23rd, 2009
Simply by chance, I came across an excellent documentary recently that captured a project involving the new BMW Z4. BMW worked with a famous artist to develop a piece of art (and coinciding event) that expressed the joy of driving a BMW Z4. I found the entire process incredible. If only I could see the exhibit in NYC!
Blog Meets Print
May 11th, 2009
It’s Nice That, one of my favorite blogs, recently created its first-ever print publication. It arrived in my mailbox not too long ago – and needless to say, I’m a big fan. Learn more about the publication here and also read my views on print vs. web over at the HB blog.
Diggin’ Out
May 11th, 2009At Hart-Boillot, we recently produced several concepts for a local B2B technology company’s product launch – a physically big data center solution. I used big, bold typography and language that played off the sheer enormity of the product. My hope was to engage the viewer with size, simplicity, and some humor.
